After visit to CEPREI
and meeting Prof. Cai Wen yesterday, Dr. Aaron Tong and I visited Memorial of
the Original Site of Whampoa Military Academy (黃埔軍校舊址紀念館) in Guangzhou on 19th
May 2018. I would like to share this
trip in the following. Photo taken in front of Army Officer School (陸軍軍官學校).
Firstly, we went to the
Yuzhu station.
Then Aaron and I tried to use “ofo” bicycle to go to the pier. But we got the wrong way.
Then we rental the tricycle
to go to pier and only RMB$10.
We arrived the Yuzhu pier
and the schedule was once per hour.
Aaron and I took a photo for memory.
In the ferry, limited seats
arranged near window but no seats in the middle area.
Arrived the Whampoa Military
Academy (Original Site) pier, I selfie for memory.
We also took a photo in
front of Sun Premier Monument (孫總理紀念碑)
Sun Yat-sen statement
“革命尚未成功，同志仍需努力” was
found in front of Army Officer School.
Aaron also took a photo in
here.
Then we went to the Great
Parlour. Inside the room, the history of
Whampoa Military Academy was exhibited.
The story of the Great Parlour was stated.
In the past, outstanding
students were awarded a short sword named “中正劍”.
Whampoa Military Academy Song was showed.
Zhou Enlai (周恩來) (the first
Premier of the People's Republic of China) was also the alumni of Whampoa
Military Academy.
The academy hierarchy of Whampoa Military
Academy was demonstrated.
Graduate history was showed and there were only 7th graduation.
Whampoa Military Academy had many sub-campus (分校) in different locations in China.
After that we visited Whampoa Military
Equipment Exhibition Hall (黃埔軍事裝備展覽館).

Before left, I brought a souvenir
for memory cost only RMB$15. (Remark: It can’t enter MTR and Train during
security check.)
After that we went to the Alibaba Experience Shop for online and offline named Box Horse Fresh
(盒馬鮮生)
The slogan was “Better
Life Right Here” (鮮 • 美 • 生活)
All foods /
vegetables had bar code.
For online shopping, staff
would packing what items you ordered and send to your home.
We selected seafood and
cooking service on-site. (However, it
was waiting too long more than 1 hour.)
Different prices for
different cooking request was showed.
We had a good dinner with
Aaron’s friends (Left 2nd : Circle Yuen and Gigi).
