In the beginning, Mr. Andy Se (Asst. General Manager) briefed the whole factory and products to us. Then Victor Lau (Sr. Quality Manager) presented the history and development of Dongguan Chao Ba Batteries Co., Ltd. The plant has total 800 staff included 57 technical staff in QA and R&D.
Their quality journey was mentioned. Moreover, this plant was the first site of whole GP group to achieve ISO 26000 Corporate Social Responsibility.
Some existing products were demonstrated.
Visiting the plant, we also visited their CNAS accredited laboratory. It included safety test (e.g. UL2054 & IEC 62133) and calibration.
After the visit, our Chairman Mr. Peter Fung represented HKSQ to give our 25th anniversary book to Mr. Se.
Luckily, we met Mr. Henry Leung (Chief Operating Officer) and had lunch together. He is an old friend of Mr. CP Chow (Hon. Treasurer and Former Chairman, HKSQ).
Afternoon, Mr. Percy Chan (Quality Director) led them to visit GP Logistics (ShenZhen) Company Limited. It has set up since Aug 2000 at Futian Free Trade Zone and their services included Packaging Production, Raw Material Storage & Distribution, Finished Goods Storage & Distribution, Customs Declaration and Packaging Inspection.
In Futian Free Trade Zone, they had three policies advantages included:
- Do not require material contract application at Customs
- Same Import/Export procedure as HK in material arrangement
- Low labor rate and rent cost in Mainland.
We observed many posters about health and it demonstrated their CSR focus.
At the end, we took a group photo for memory.
