TQM Kaz 2011 – Day Two

On day 2 of TQM Kaz 2011, there were concurrent Quality Workshops.
Before the workshop, I took a photo in front of the poster.


The workshop topic was presented in Kaz language and English.


I prepared my talk.


I (Chairman of HKSQ, Quality Manager of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) (Hong Kong)) was one of the workshop speakers in the morning session and my topic entitled “QMS based Information Security Management (QISM) Implementation Model – HKSTP Case Study”.


The model was valuable because of least than 2% of company which certified ISO 27001 compared with ISO 9001 certified company.


After literature review, I demonstrated the QISM model for the participants.


Q&A session was performed at the end of the presentation.


Another concurrent session was held in the other room.


Prof. Azat Abdrakhmanov (Chair of Organization Committee, President of IAQMA, President of InterCert CB Ltd., AFNOR/TUV/IRCA Auditor, EFQM Assessor, Validator and Trainer) was the other speaker in the morning session and his topic named “Practical Aspects in Implementation of Management Systems in Industry. Application of EFQM Excellence Model, Kaizen, Benchmarking, 5S, Just-in-time, etc.”


The other morning session workshop speaker was Dr. Dato Aziz Mat (Managing Director of Padat Kekal Sdn Bhd, Chairman of MOODY International (Malaysia) and his presentation was “QMS Preparation, Implementation and Certification”.


After coffee break, we continued the workshops.

Dr. K.S. Chin (Asso. Professor of MEEM dept., City University of Hong Kong (China)) was the speaker on this session and his presentation named “Lean Product Development”



The other speaker was Mr. Grant Regan (Deputy director of Center for Business Excellence at Zayed University (UAE), Certified expert for organizational development (ODI-USA), EFQM Assessor (Canada)) and his topic was “Organizational Change Management”.


The Best Quality Manager 2011 Contest was performed in afternoon. All keynote speakers were invited to be international jury members. We took a photo with some marks.


The contest goals were shown as follows:
1. Support dissemination of quality management ideas and principals amongst young professionals of companies and organization of Kazakhstan;
2. Involvement of young professionals to mass movement that is aimed at achievement of quality labor in all the economic and social sectors;
3. Promotion of quality manager profession.

The evaluation was separated into four rounds. The first round named “Presentation Round” and the participants needed to present their company in terms of QMS operation. The second round called “Standard Round” that participants requested to answer 20 multiple choice questions about ISO 9001. The third round was “Graphical Round” and all participants should draw a flow chart through PC for problem solving and then presented to jury members. The last round called “Movie Round” that each participant needed to choice a movie and explained the quality principles involved in the movie.

After four rounds, the result was obtained. Prof. Azat presented the award to the winner.


The 1st winner of The Best Quality Manager 2011 was Ms. Isikenova Alfiya.


The 2nd winner was Ms. Amangelvlvi.


The 3rd winner was Ms. Doroshenko Lubov


Group photo with judgers were taken.


After the workshop and competition, we went for the dinner. Prof. Azat brought us to go to the restaurant for some traditional food. It was like a palace.


We all had worn a traditional coat for the dinner.



All keynote speakers were taken a photo with Prof. Azat for memory.


Some music performance was demonstrated during the dinner.
